Even though the wedding dresses we sell are made to order, the bride’s measurements are only used as a guide as the dresses are made in conventional sizes (such as size 10 or 12). More often than not, when the dress arrives and you try it on for the first time, some alterations will need to be made to ensure that it fits perfectly in all the right places. Because it’s impossible to know the extent of the work that needs to be done until you try on your dress, it’s impossible to know how much work will need to be done. Some brides may only need a hem to be altered and a single fitting, others can require more complex work and several fittings. We therefore recommend allowing 8 – 10 weeks for alterations, particularly if your wedding is during the busier spring and summer months.
PROFESSIONAL DRY CLEANING
After your wedding day, we can arrange for your wedding dress to be professionally dry cleaned and boxed for storage or resale. Please ask for details.
